Why do I need a DOT physical?
The Department of Transportation requires commercial motor vehicle operators to have the DOT physical exam to maintain their driver certification. The DOT deems professional drivers who operate commercial vehicles of 5 tons or more as “safety-sensitive” because they can affect both their safety and the public’s safety.
Only certified Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) medical examiners can perform the DOT physical. Medex Pros has several such providers who are very familiar with the process and aim to get you back on the road quicky and safely.
